A place to rest, worship, and have fun

Virginia Nazarene Retreat Center has been a haven for kids, families, and church groups since 1940. We're tucked into the heart of Virginia in Buckingham, with room for everything from a small getaway to a gathering of a thousand.

Whether you're here for a week of summer camp or a weekend retreat, our goal is the same. We want everyone who comes onto these grounds to leave refreshed mentally, spiritually, and physically.

Things to do

Plenty to do between sessions

Free time is half the fun of camp. There's enough here to keep kids, teens, and grown-ups busy all week.

Swimming pool, climbing wall, disc golf, paddle boats, fishing, archery tag, laser tag, low ropes course, gaga ball, knockerball, 9 Square, and glow night games.

From our camp family

A special place for a lot of people

“Just from spending the day there we knew this was a special place where the Holy Spirit frequently showed up. After our first family camp we were sold. We decided that no matter where the Navy sent us we would come back for family camp every year.”

Nicole Andrews

“Welcome to the home of the red clay and to a place filled with the sweet, sweet presence of the Lord! My sanctuary. May the Lord richly bless your time and ministry!”
