Our story
Virginia Nazarene Retreat Center has served as a haven for children and their families since 1940. We're in Buckingham, right in the heart of Virginia, with room for all kinds of camps, retreats, and activities that fit your group or family.
Every summer, our caring and enthusiastic staff dream up creative programs for campers of all ages. What we offer is fun, challenging, and welcoming of everyone's abilities.
Above all, we want everyone who enters these grounds to leave refreshed mentally, spiritually, and physically.

Leadership
Executive Director
Pastor Mark is an ordained elder in the Church of the Nazarene with more than 30 years in ministry. He has served as a senior pastor, youth pastor, and associate pastor in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Michigan.
Originally from Massachusetts, he attended Eastern Nazarene College, where he met his wife, Amy. He spent 11 years as the Philadelphia District Work and Witness Coordinator, has taken part in more than 20 mission trips, and has hosted many teams on projects of their own.
He also served as the Philadelphia District Disaster Coordinator and is trained in disaster response. Pastor Mark has a heart for missions and the church, and for seeing lives changed through camp and retreat ministry.
